Quality Statement

The college has a fully functional Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to consistently improve quality as an 'Improvement' while maintaining the institution's strong work. IQAC will facilitate the process of internalizing quality and will act as a catalyst in the institution's performance development. The IQAC will provide self-reviewed progress reports to NAAC as part of its yearly quality assurance reporting. IQAC will raise internal awareness of quality issues and establish credibility for external quality assessments. The College has a written mission statement and set of objectives that respects the autonomy, identity and integrity of the stakeholders.


Quality Assurance Policy and Processes

  • The College has a policy and procedures in place to ensure the quality and standards of its programs and awards. The College specifically commits to the creation of a culture that understands the value of quality and quality assurance in the workplace. To that end, the College creates and implements a strategy for continuous quality improvement. The plan, policies, and procedures are official and publicly visible. The processes involve responsibilities for students and other stakeholders.
  • The College has institutional systems for reviewing, monitoring, and approving its programs and appraising its best practices.
  • Student assessment follows uniform published standards, norms, and processes.
  • Quality assurance for teaching staff: The College ensures their qualifications and competence.

  • The College provides training and development for both academic and non-academic staff to foster a culture of quality and continual improvement.
  • Information systems: The College collects, analyzes, and uses pertinent information to effectively administer its programs and operations.
  • Public information: The College publishes current, impartial, and objective quantitative and qualitative information regarding its policies, procedures, programs, and awards.
  • The IQAC evaluates the institution's self-assessment and external reference points. The College makes independent, objective, rigorous, comprehensive, fair, and consistent decisions.
  • The College provides comprehensive documentation for self-assessment and external evaluation. The self-evaluation paperwork outlines the aims, procedures, and content expectations associated with the self-evaluation process. The material will provide a clear distinction between recommendations and requirements. The documentation for external evaluation specifies the topics covered, such as the standards employed, decision criteria, assessment methodology, and reporting format. If the external examination leads to accreditation, the accreditation structure and standards will be made public.
  • The College uses available resources, both human and financial, to effectively and efficiently conduct external evaluations in line with its quality statement.
  • The College prioritizes external quality assurance and follows a systematic strategy to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • External quality assurance of the College and/or programs will be conducted on a cyclical basis. The length of the cycle and the review methods that will be employed would be explicitly defined.
  • Follow-up procedures: Quality assurance processes with recommendations or action plans will have a predetermined follow-up procedure which is implemented consistently.
