The founder Late Hon. Kundanlalji Agrawal established an educational trust ‘SMT. Dankunwar Hindi Kanya Vidyalaya Samiti, Jalna’, Hindi linguistic minority institute, taking in to visionary need of educating the girls with the concept of Gender Equality, love & respect to women. The samiti has formed primary section in 1958 in the memory of Hon. kundanlalji’s mother late Smt. Dankunwarmataji Agrawal. Gradually it reached up to High School Stage. In 1983 the committee has commenced even the junior college with two programmes-Commerce & Arts.

In 1985, the SMT. Dankunwar Hindi Kanya Vidyalaya Samiti started Smt. Dankunwar Mahila Mahavidyalya with Commerce programme and in 1989 Art’s program was added to it to fulfill dreams of Hon. kundanchacha by their Patrons Successor to offer the facility of Higher Education to women. In the same period MCVC-Banking, Accounting and auditing along with Creche and Child development.

It was founded with the broad objective “Shikshitah Vanitah Rashtronnatermulam” i.e. the educational women are genuinely the pioneers of the progress and overall development of the Nation. An educated women can give shape to the nation by fostering values and inculcating virtues. Thus, it was an attempt to empower women educationally, socially and economically. As educated women can give shape to the Nation by fostering values and inculcating virtues. Thus, foundation of college was an attempt to help women search for their self-reliance. In 2000, the samiti decided to run post graduate programme in commerce which was further extended as Research Center in Commerce since 2005 affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chh. Sambhajinagar. The Institute served for the social purpose coordinating government policies. Institute is trying best to accelerate, to sustain quality, to strengthen the continuous improvement and excellence.

Organizational Structure

Thus, the institute is moving ahead for the empowerment of girl students from LKG to the Research Centre, adding a Science Programme as a forthcoming attraction along with various government-approved skill-based courses like “Certificate Course in Advanced Beauty Culture, Certificate Course in Health Sanitary Inspector, and Diploma Course in Electrician.”

Additionally, at the institutional level, courses such as Spoken English Certificate Course, Dance Certificate Course, Beauty Parlour Certificate Course, and Advanced Tally Accounting Certificate Course are offered for the successful implementation of the New Educational Policy 2020 under one roof and one banner of Smt. Dankunwar Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jalna.
