I. Entrepreneurial Motivational Project
Date: In the month of Jan. or Feb.
Class: Compulsory for B.Com T.Y. students
Goal:
- Promote students for entrepreneurship.
- Educate them on product selection, customer estimates, cost per unit, selling price, advertisements, capital budgeting, master budgets, and financial accounting.
- Teach marginal cost, offer prices, and stock valuation.
- Commerce & Arts (especially Home Science students) manage food stalls.
- Since 1993, judges are invited, and cash prizes & certificates are awarded to the best stall.
II. Budget Seminar
Date: After budget declaration
Aim:
- Understand government budget, direct & indirect taxes.
- Impact of taxes on individuals, inflation, subsidies, and financial planning.
- Experts, Tax Consultants, C.A.s, Principal, HoD, and management participate.
Class: Mandatory for B.Com T.Y. & M.Com final year students
Guests: CA Piyush Agrawal, CA Akshay Khatti, UG & PG students, and other experts.
III. Identifying Star Girl Student
Aim: Active learning & participation
Class: For B.Com F.Y., S.Y., T.Y. students
Functioning:
- In lectures, questions are asked, and stars are given in the class workbook.
- Case studies are used; correct decisions earn stars.
- Class problems solved within time get 5*.
- Home assignments completed the next day earn 1 star per problem.
- On chapter completion, CW is assessed and updated work earns 2*.
- Silver Star: Achieved after 25 stars.
- Golden Star: Achieved after 50 stars.
