Library Advisory Committee
- The primary function of the Library Advisory Committee (LAC) is to support the functioning of the Library and Information Centre so that it can facilitate the library development. The committee recommends appropriate learning materials such as books, journals, databases, etc., and overseeing the acquision activities of the Library and Information Centre
- The Library Advisory Committee (LAC) plays an advisory and advocacy role regarding the Library and Information Centre on matters of general policy, planning, programs, goals, and objectives in its support of teaching, learning, research and community'building needs of the institute.
- Library advisory committee is appointed for every academic year and is expected to meet twice during the academic year to ensure effective and efficient working of the Library and Information Centre. The Principal of the institute will be the ex-officio chairman while the Librarian of the Central Library and Information Centre of the institute will be the ex-officio Secretary of the committee.
