It is the only optional subject with practicals in the Arts programme. Home Science makes students economically independent by developing entrepreneurs in five streams of Home Science and enhances their self-confidence for decision-making. Students gain knowledge through practical work.

Staff Achievements
- Dr. Swati Ashok Mahajan has written a book titled “Ergonomical Design of a Sink for Dishwashing” (ISBN-978-1-387-88990-7) in 2018.
- Authored one chapter each for 11th and 12th standard students of Home Management in both English and Marathi.
- Served as a member for planning menus of ICDS Jalna in 2020, 2021, and 2023.
- Awarded one patent on research work titled "Designing of an Ergonomically Designed Kitchen Sink" in 2023.
- Dr. Swati Ashok Mahajan has written a book titled "भारतीय पाककला आणि आहार" based on the NEP 2020 syllabus for B.A.F.Y. students.
